Steps

1. Set your recovery questions. Go to the Runescape Home Page and on the left, click on "Set new Recovery Questions." You will have to sign in and a form will appear. Fill out the form and click continue. Log in. You won't be able to go here unless you do.
2. Go to Barbarian Village. Barbarian Village is located west of Varrock and south of Edgeville. When you arrive, go next to the tin mining area. You will see a hole, the Stronghold of Security. You can talk to Litara. She says she has lost her brother when he went down.
3. In the Barbarian Village, climb down the hole. If you magic xp is high enough then you can use it. If not, just go through the gate. They will ask you questions. Go through the first level, whereas there should be a portal. It's easy because none of the monsters are aggressive types.
4. Enter the passage to it.
5. Nothing will try kill you on the first level. Open the treasure chest since you have already set your recovery questions. You will unlock your flap emote and 2k!
6. Climb down the ladder and run through the other levels; it starts getting tricker and things will attack you. You can get up to 10k the lower you go. If not, just go up the ladder on the right. It will lead you back to Barbarian Village.
7. On the last one, you will only have to encounter the monsters once, but they are over level 100, so run. On the last level, stay far away from the from the door that is separating you from the ghosts. The system might glitch, so let the ghosts attack through it.
8. The last floor is the hardest with monsters with levels as high as level 86! The prize is the option to pick either fighter boots or colorful boots!
9. Collect all your prizes, and climb the chain to the top. (Don't go through the whole thing again).

Tips

• Minotours will sometimes drop bronze full helmets, so you can sell them for a profit at the helmet store in Barbarian Village.
• Bring your cakes and the strongest armor you can afford.
• There are special shoes on the last floor: Fighting Boots or the Colorful Boots. If you have lost your shoes, you can always go back and get it. There's an easier way then going back through it over again, just take the portals! You will see them when you climb down the rope or ladder to the next level.
• Make sure you get the money you stash! Dont let anyone else take it!
• The lower you go in the stronghold of secruity, the higher level monsters.
• If you are a low level you should store your money in the bank after each level completed.

Warnings

• Look out for the monsters. Go through the doors as fast as you can.
• People level 20 and above will do better than others. Don't get discouraged.

Things You'll Need

• Iron or above armor.
• Cakes from the bakery stand at West Ardrouge.
• 200 gold for ship fares.
• If you can't steal the cakes you will need 600 gold.
