Flax / Bowstring Method (Members Only)

  • This is one of the best ways to make money if you are willing to spend a couple of hours on it. It's also a great way to level up your crafting level which can be used at high levels to make even more money!
  1. Get your crafting to level 10. If you don't have level 10 crafting, do a quest called "Murder Mystery" and you'll get over 10 crafting.
  2. Go to the flax field south of the Seers Village bank.
  3. Pick 28 flax. There's no shortage of flax so don't be worried if there's about 10 people there.
  4. Spin the flax at the top floor of the building to the west of the field.
  5. Put the bowstrings in your bank in Seers Village.
  6. Repeat the process until you have a substantial amount of bowstrings. Sell them in thousands. 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, etc. Sell them for 150-180gp each. It is possible to sell each bow string at 200gp each but it's not common for players to buy bow strings at this price. I calculated the time to make 1 mill and it would take around 27.2 hours if you pick and spin 250 an hour.
  7. Remember to note your items when you sell them.

Combat Methods

Fire Giants method (Members Only)

  1. Get to at least level 75 or over.

  4. Pick up the items and if it is worth it, sell them.

Big Bones

Method 1: You'll need a brass key (Can be found in Edgeville Dungeon) Open the door to get inside the building between Varrock and the Barbarian Village (Its a tiny little shack) Kill Hill Giants take there bones get a pile and sell them at the bank. Method 2: If you don't have a key go through Edgville dungeon (you can pick a key up on your way there. In the back is the hill giant lair. They are level 28 so if your a lower level bring food. Also if you are a mage or ranged you can position yourself behind a stalagmite were they cant reach you.

Cowhide Method

  2. Kill the cows that are there.
  3. Pick up the cowhides that they drop.
  4. Repeat this until your inventory is full.
  5. Go to Lumbridge's bank and put all of your cowhides in there.
  6. Repeat steps 1-4 until your have a lot of cowhides.
  7. Get 10gp from the bank in Lumbridge or kill the Goblins that drop 10gp.
  8. Go to a popular world.
  9. Sell the cowhides for 100-150 (selling them for 130-150 coins each may be hard) coins each at the bank in Al-Kharid. Don't be afraid to bargain a bit. just don't be outrageous, possibly just add another 5 Gold a hide or something close to that. A good world to do this on is usually world three or a lower numbered world since almost always they are full of players.

Alternative Cowhide Method

  1. Follow steps 1-4 in the normal cowhide method and continue till you have a large quantity of cowhides
  2. Bring 27 cowhides to a tanner with either 27 coins(for soft leather) or 81 coins(for hard leather)depending on your crafting level.
  3. repeat for all your cowhides you desire to create armor out of
  4. You can then make different types of leather using a needle and thread
  5. You can then sell this leather product to a general store for more than the amount you made it for.
  6. You can repeat this as many times as you like and not only make money but also improve your crafting skill.

  • You can teleport back to Fallador or go back walking.
  • (Beware) Playerkillers will try and kill you, pick an empty world and only take what you can afford to loose (Stick to 3 items and anti-fire sheild) A common PKer tactic is to use a non offensive spell in hopes you retaliate, you get skulled. Beware don't fall for this sneaky tactic.

Happy Dragon Hunting!

Fishing Methods

Lobsters method

  1. Get your fishing level up to 40 or higher. A cooking level of 40 is optional.
  2. Go to Karamja Island and start fishing for lobsters. You'll need at least 60 coins (30 to it, and 30 back) for your trip to and from Karamja. Or just teleport back.
  3. If your cooking level is 40, you now have to cook your lobsters. It's best to cook them on the cooking range in Port Sarim, because food doesn't burn as often on ranges. However, some people will just cook them on a fire made in Karamja.
    1. After your inventory is full of cooked lobsters, go back to the main land. Pay your 30 coins to the sailor and the boat will take you back to Port Sarim.
  4. Alternatively, you can just get uncooked lobsters. These will sell for less. Store your lobsters in the bank at Draynor (east of Port Sarim) or Falador (north of Port Sarim). Go back to Karamja and repeat the process until you have a substantial amount of lobsters.
  5. After you have your lobsters, go to Edgeville to sell your lobsters. Edgeville is north of Barbarian Village and west of Varrock. It is best to sell your lobsters here because people are constantly PlayerKilling here, and need food. Price your lobsters at 200-250gp each.

Lobsters and Other method (Members only)

  • Go to Cathebury, north of Argoudine and west of White Wolf Mountain. It is recommended that you are about 50 fishing before you fish lobsters here since lobsters are generally quite slow.
  • You can buy a lobster pot there, and there is a bank very close by (About 15 seconds walk)
  • There is also a range nearby to help you cook your food when you fish it
  • You can also fish Sharks, Swordfish and Tuna there as well. This is good for levelling up your fishing level and gaining a lot of money.

H.A.M. caves (Members Only)

  • After you have beat The lost tribe and Death to the Dorgeshuun quests, go into the H.A.M. caves and picklock the trapdoor INSIDE the cave (it will be invisible if you haven't beaten the quest).
  • There will be the H.A.M. guards, except if you pickpocket them you will sometimes get keys that are bronze, iron, silver or steel.
  • The bronze key you will have to go through a crevice in the south-west of the room. Then open the chest.
  • Silver you have to pick-lock the door in the north-west corner of the room.
  • Iron is in the the north-east corner with the locked door.
  • Steel is in the south-east or in the big northern room with chests. The chests give jewerly or coins.
  • The jewerly is gold-diamond. once your inventory is full. Sell the to grum in port sarim. Each run will give you about 15k-20k.
  • quests requirments: 17 mining 23 agility 23 thieving Ability to kill lvl 50 with help from NPC

High Alchemy Method

This method will take 55 magic.

  1. Acquire an item that would be converted into a high amount of gold. Make sure, if you buy it, that you're getting more gold than you paid for it(You may also want to leave a couple-hundred gold for the nature rune cost).
  2. One of the best things to high alch is Rune Medium Helms. Buy them for 8k-10k from players and use High Alchemy on them for 11.52k! Also, members may like to try fletching. Alching and fletching as a combination can be quite rewarding as you raise multiple skills relatively quickly. Fletching is the 3rd easiest skill to get level 99 in.
  3. Get the necessary runes needed to perform the spell.
  4. Alchemize the item, rinse, and repeat!

Mining Methods

Gold mining method

  • This method will need at least 40 mining and it is somewhat very easy once you have a mining level over 70.
  • First you will need to go to the Al Kahrid mine and go to the gold.
  • Now go and mine the gold which could take a while depending on your mining level.
  • Once you have a full inventory of gold go to the Al Kahrid bank and deposit the gold.
  • Once you have a reasonable amount of gold in your bank say 100-1000 if your smithing is level 40 smithing or higher and level 7 in crafting you can go to the smelting place.
  • Once you have smelted your gold go and get a ring mould and a necklace mould to the smithing place and make half of the gold bars necklaces and half rings.
  • Once you have done that note your necklaces and your rings and go to the port sarim jewellery shop and sell them.
  • If you do this right you should end up with at least 15 mil in 2 weeks.

Iron mining method

  • This method is a very simple money making method but it gets you some great cash if you stick with it for a while. There are a lot more better and faster methods to make great cash but if you need about 10k fast, this method is right for you.
  1. First get your mining up to a reasonable level.
  2. Now go to Falador and go to the West bank.
  3. Go inside the dwarven mines and mine the iron over there. The Mine is sometimes over-crowded so switch worlds if so.
  4. Once you get a full inventory of iron, go back to the Falador bank and deposit your iron ores. Repeat.
  5. Now once you have about 100-1000 or more iron ores, sell each one for 100gp each. You can sell the iron ores at about 100gp each but usually need at least 100 to sell for that much.

Mining Method - Rune Essence (Must have completed Rune Mysteries quest)

  • #Go to Varrock, and get to the East Bank. Travel south of it, and you will see two signs. One of them is a ball of fire, the other a green arrow.
  1. Go inside the building with the two signs. You will see a man named Aubury. Left click Aubury and click "Teleport Aubury". He'll say "Seventior disthine molenko!" and teleport you to the Essence mine.
  2. Click on the Rune Essence rock and click "Mine Rune Essence". (you may sometimes spawn in the middle of the mine - just go to any corner and you'll see a big rock.)
  3. Wait until your inventory is full of Rune Essence.
  1. Find the portal and teleport out.
  2. Walk back to the East Bank and do one of the two options:
    1. Put it in the bank, select "Withdraw as Note" and take it out. Mention that you are selling rune essence. If you use chat effects, for example, "wave:" and "red:", people would notice your offer easily. (It is recommended to have a lot of the Essence. Also, try to ask for a little higher than what the buyer offers. Stay around 25gp per Essence.)
    2. Put it in the bank, and repeat the process.
  3. If you are a member and you have 30 mining, you can mine Pure Essence. Pure Essence is worth more, as it can make any type of rune. It usually sells for 100 coins each. Normal Rune Essence (mined on a nonmember server) only sells for 20 gp each.

Gold

  1. Go to Al Kharid Mines and mine a lot of gold ore.
  2. Take food with you if your combat level is less than 29 because the scorpions there may attack you while you mine.
  3. Get your ores then smelt them on your way to the bank.
  4. Then sell them for about 150gp.
  5. Repeat this for 5 times and you'll have about 20k.

Rune Essence Method

  1. Get a LOT of rune essence.
  2. Make them into runes. Try to make the runes that you can sell for the most.
  3. Sell the runes. Runecrafting member runes will get more money depending on the rune.

Clay Mining Method

  1. If you do not already have a pick-axe, get a bronze one from the Mining Tutor. He can be found slightly south of Lumbridge.
  2. Go to Varrock.
  3. Go to the West Varrock Mines.
  4. Mine a lot of clay, it only takes level 1 mining.
  5. Get a bucket or jug (can be bought, or the bucket can be found in the Lumbridge kitchen).
  6. Fill it up with water from various fountains or wells (marked with a water droplet).
  7. Stay by the well and use it on the clay to make soft clay.
  8. Put the clay in the bank, and repeat until you have quite a bit.
  9. Go to the forums and look under construction.
  10. Add the person to your friends list, and send them a message. Soft clay sells for 300-350gp each, so this method can make lots of cash easy.

Coal Mining

  • Recommended for level 45+ miners, but can be done at lvl 30
  1. Go to the south of Lumbridge swamps.
  2. Then go west until you see the mining pit.
  3. Mine the coal (switch to different worlds if it is too crowded).
  4. Walk/run/telephoto back to Lumbridge or to Draynor which is north of the mine past the wizards tower and bank the coal and repeat several times.
  5. Then sell the ore for about 150-200gp each.

Alternate Coal Mining Method

  • Recommended for level 35+ miners and make sure you have a good pickaxe!
  1. Go to Falador, then to the larger bank.
  2. Around the bank there is a fountain, followed by a few buildings and guards around it.
  3. If it is a popular world, you might see a few players with pickaxes walking.
  4. Follow one of them, and they might lead to a small building with a wide staircase.
  5. Go down the staircase, but be careful, there are scorpions (level 14) and king scorpions (level 32) that might attack you.
  6. There should be 3 coal rocks there in font of you. (There are more rocks containing coal in the same mine)
  7. If there are people mining there, search for more rocks containing coal (believe me, there's more) If not, just switch worlds.
  8. Mining coal at night is the best time to mine coal because there is not as many people on then.
  9. It is an excellent way to make money. I made 26k one time from 112 coal.
  10. You also mine faster if you're not equipped with anything heavy
  11. Sell the coal for 150gp-200gp each and you'll be rich.

Members Coal Mining Method

  1. Go to Argoudine with the best Pickaxe you have.
  2. Theres a mine to the east of the city gate, it is normally empty and has lots of coal rocks.
  3. Fill up your inventory there, there should be no competition so you should get them quite fast.
  4. Bank them in Argoudines east bank, this is only about 25 seconds walk away.
  5. If your making cannonballs there si a furnace close to Argoudines west bank.
  6. There are also iron ore spots there so you can make steel easily from that city.

'Extra Tips'

  • The Area is Multi Combat, so you can go with a friend or two. You can even orginise clan events around the city.
  • This is Moderately Good Combat Experience, but the main attractions are the drops.

Other

Scavenging

Another, rather pathetic way to make money is:

  • 1) Randomly roam the world of Runescape, particularly members areas and the Wilderness, and pick up anything that could sell. If you do this for a couple of days you can make a small profit, though this is only recommended for newbies and only those who can telephoto to Varrock, up to Level 20 in the Wilderness, or further if you're braver. (Past level 20, though, you can no longer telephoto, so you're on your own. We suggest not bringing any armor or anything expensive.)
  • This is one of the very few vendoring methods
  • 1. Go to the dwarven mines
  • 2. Buy coal
  • 3. Find another world in which you can sell your coal for more.

Be sure you check the current price of coal first!

Tips

  • Make sure the items you are selling are noted. If you don't other players won't have enough room.
  • Always have a lot of the items you are selling. If not, the buyer will get annoyed and decline the trade and if you sell in bulk more cash-add like 25gp.
  • Be sure to double check the second trade screen for scammers/noobs.
  • Make sure they don't have complicated names, because if they do they might be a scammer. (An example would be someone with the name 234msd087mm32.)= scammer
  • Sometimes you can go and kill hill giants to get big bones and sell them 300-400gp each or bury them and get prayer up.
  • The Stronghold of Security can only be done once per account - you get 10k to start you off.
  • Get law runes in huge amounts (5k+) for a good profit you can sell 1k each in free world on good days! (Not a common price when buying in bulk)
  • For law running to be quicker, look for people dressed in red zamorak robes and trade them.
  • Another tip is that you could get a law talisman/tiara from the Troll Stronghold quest and get inside the altar, you then get traded immediately. Make sure you don't bring Cats into the altar, the Law Running company doesn't like that.
  • A good place to get cowhides is just west of the crafting guild, this area is open to everyone and is extremely close to both Falador west bank and east bank(if you can use the Falador west wall shortcut then use the west bank)(members).

Warnings

  • While fishing, be wary about random events like river trolls and whirlpools. And sometimes black fish can chuck your fishing stuff away. So be wary of this.
  • While law running, don't say Law Me, it doesn't work.
  • Don't use bots. You will get caught if you do so.
  • Be careful of scammers! Always check the second trade screen. If an offer is too good to be true, its usually is. If you do get scammed, be sure to report the scammer using 'report abuse'.
